Saw this and immediately thought of the way I authenticate most sneakers - it’s the FONT, dammit!

A few weeks ago, I was flipping through an early Beckett Basketball Price Guide and saw, quite possibly, one of the worst pics I have ever seen...it’s shown on the right.

If you missed on those @seancliver dunks the other day, you’ll be happy to know that near-perfect fakes have already hit the market (as of official release date).

I’m bad at holiday posts. I’ve just never been like super holiday-y.

I was always a bit curious as to how the @jbalvin x @jumpman23 collaboration ended up the way it did...

Yes, the grey market argument makes sense to me.

Copped these Trainer III ‘USA’ on super steal the other day and gotta say they did a pretty good job with quality control on these…I bet the majority of these would grade high.

When those J Balvin’s made their first appearance nearly a year ago, I was kind of on the fence about them.

I know I’m like super late with this...but these are beautiful.

So...check it...these are some of the things I find when grading shoes…

Correction on yesterdays post...several people DM’d me and hit me in the comments telling me I had the wrong pic of the first Yeezy pic.

The point of grading shoes (or any collectible for that matter) is to distinguish between the condition of one vs. the condition of another.  

What is YOUR biggest complaint with Nike *as a shoe provider?

@nicekicks reports that all 150 pairs of these Manila Jordan IV’s were released exclusively in Manila and customers had to wear them out the door.

(2/2) I leave with 10 pairs that first day and agree to pick up the remaining pairs the next day (I had to lug them roughly 20 blocks in the Manhattan heat and couldn’t imagine doing it twice).

Real or fake? Just saw this. Not sure it’s real but if it is...It seems Nike is just toying with him now.

TL: DR; Where do I get my fakes? Nowhere. I don’t buy them. And I’m not advocating for the purchase of them. 

For me - legit checks almost always come down to the tag. The tag is the easiest for me to find slight differences.

When I saw that @pgknows pic I did a quick double take.

Looks aside - what’s the consensus on these? If you aren’t familiar with them - they’re supposedly a Travis Scott ‘sample’ that was never released to the public. Confirmed by @travisscott himself.

Reading some of the comments on my reels and that @nicekicks post the other day (4m followers!)

On September 10, 2001, a friend from high school (@mrkennerline) and I went out drinking somewhere in Los Angeles.

After working on these cards for the past few months, I haven’t really done much physical grading.

One of my favorite cards in the set. A shoeless Kobe Bean Bryant. These cards look great in a sealed one-touch! Plus the tamperproof holograms...gold! Er...silver...er...multicolor.

This was pretty much the last batch of *card* pics I got (before they sent me the samples). These had me hella amped. Again - kudos to my buddy for figuring out the effects.  

Once I saw these pics I was very surprised and - again - excited.

I paid 40% to the supplier the first week in July.

Just. Jesus Christ. At least they’ll get hypebeasts caring about their oral hygiene for a few weeks. And they’re getting us talking. Again. That’s for sure.

Easiest tell when legit-checking Union Jordan 1s - what is it? Swipe to see... SPOILER: I've seen several fake pairs with a 2014 production date - these were produced in 2018.

It took me a while to decide what kinds of stories I wanted to run with...with Kobe, there are so many freakin stories it’s difficult to pick just one...

I guess if you were really perceptive and thought about why a ‘sneaker’ account was posting about baseball cards you mighta put two and two together..

This...right here...this is called ‘foreshadowing’...or...’a sign of things to come.’

FYI the ‘dunk hype’ is not new...his is a cycle that is repeating itself.

Y’all know - when these actually drop in pointless numbers and the resale immediately skyrockets to $900...$107 for these ‘fakes’ doesn’t sound all that bad.⁣

New to me but probably not new to some of y’all - I had no idea they had zoom heel pads in the fake SBs...

As someone much richer than I once told me - ”if they’re willing to give you that much of discount without even asking for it, they must REALLY be ripping you off.”⁣ ⁣

Saw these historical artifacts come across my TL the other day and my eyes zoomed in directly on the aged glue stains. Adds some character, sure, but still this is what happens when they start to age.

You wouldn’t believe how many people have been hittin me up about that ‘1 of 5’ pair of @travisscott x @nike x @playstation dunks that popped up on some random dudes page…

BTW...pulled the trigger on these 2018 Marbury 361 shoes…not totally sure what I think about them but they’re a good price and really just want to see what they’re like in hand.

Thanks to @overhypedkicks for the hookup on these VC BB4’s - by far my favorite court shoe of all time.
