Looks aside - what’s the consensus on these? If you aren’t familiar with them - they’re supposedly a Travis Scott ‘sample’ that was never released to the public. Confirmed by @travisscott himself.
BUT...
...From what I’ve heard (could be rumor)...there are roughly 50,000 pairs of these floating around Asia right now (that’s about 20,000-30,000 MORE pairs than Nike releases of any given SB). And the quality looks on par with most other Dunk releases.
If you’ve got a fake factory that is producing twice as many high quality fakes as Nike is producing real (and in this case, 49,999 more) - does the term ‘Nike Authorized’ ever become meaningless?
What’s the consensus on shoes that are created but are never released? Are they ALL considered fake? What about samples that are never supposed to leave the Nike Campus? Are those that make it out considered fake (as they’re not ‘authorized’)? Personally, I won’t legit check them. It’s too sticky of a question. I’ll grade them. But I ain’t signing off on any of it.
To me, it’s an interesting question…I would be over the moon if I got my hands on a pair that I thought were actual production samples...but there is absolutely no way anyone could actually ensure that they were actual production real...I mean...Travis Scott probably has a real pair. And the designers who worked on them might have a couple of pairs. But...those are NEVER supposed to leave their possession...are they?
What if you were randomly GIFTED a pair of these?
Would you rock ‘em?
Would you burn ‘em?
Would you try to sell them?
Would you give them away?
What would you do?
