For me - legit checks almost always come down to the tag. The tag is the easiest for me to find slight differences.
I was a numbers guy on Wall Street, so reading reports and graphs and charts really gave me an eye for text. Fonts and font weights and spacing and (report) presentation are part of what I did for 10 years or so. My first boss on Wall Street once said to me - in all seriousness - “never hand me a report that isn’t 12 pt. Tahoma.”
When I do ‘legit checks’ now and the first thing I ALWAYS look at is the size tag. No matter the shoe, no matter the brand. It’s always the size tag.
So when I saw this come across my TL on WeChat - I had to look for myself. One of the tags in this picture is from the ‘fake’ $110 pair of Purple Lobsters I posted a few days ago. The other tag in this picture is from an ‘authentic’ pair on GOAT going for nearly 10x the amount.
Which one is which? Which one is ‘fake’, and which one is ‘real’?
And how can YOU tell the difference?
