I know I’m like super late with this...but these are beautiful.
Super fancy. Reminds me of the ZX Flux ‘Mythology’ from a few years back. It says they’re ‘porcelain shoes’ but it’s pretty obvious they’re not ALL porcelain...I see porcelain on the tongue tag, heel cage and embedded in the midsole. The closeups on these show next to ZERO flaws (I see VERY minor glue stains) so I think we’re still off from the world’s FIRST TSS Graded 10/10... 😂
Pretty crazy that the auction estimate for these is $1m. That begs the question...would you rather have one pair of these (might not be your size) or two pairs of Jordan I PE’s from 1985 (a few pairs lately sold in the $500k range)? I think I’d rather just take the milli and buy a hundred dollar pair of shoes and pocket the rest
BUT...if these go for $1m at auction this year, they’ll probably go for $3m+ in 2 years...so...maybe this is as good an investment as fine art…
And another BUT...the auction site says 100% of the Hammer Price from this auction will benefit the Brooklyn Museum. Which I’m all for (I used to live in Brooklyn and love when money
There’s about 24 hours left before the auction ends...it currently sits at $30k but it’d be interesting to see how this goes...If it goes for $30k, would you rather have THESE or a pair of Paris SBs? I’d MUCH rather have these.
