We all know about the Dior 1’s - a shoe I could absolutely care less about.
I, like many of you, also entered the ‘raffle’ to purchase a few months back at retail ($2k) because I knew they’d be selling for at least double that (they’re currently around $5k for lows, $7k for highs)...And if you know me, you know I’m not all that keen on light colored shoes with white midsoles and icy bottoms - I’m a guy who loves the outdoors so I dust up my shoes almost daily. I have absolutely zero interest in the utility value of this shoe.
Anyway, with resale being as high as it is, check out what the replica manufacturers are advertising now - amongst a number of things - they’ve mapped the exact placement of the @dior monogram on the swoosh. That’s the hardest part of the shoe to replicate accurately. There’s also a hidden cushion insert in the sole - which some of these companies have been able to replicate. And finally - the thread they use is from a company called COATS, which is reportedly the thread company provider for ALL Nike products.
If you think these kinds of pairs aren’t going to pass @stockx or @goat authenticators, I’d say ‘good luck’.
THIS is why I stick to shoes that are like $200 and under. Can’t trust NOBODY out there
