Last year, Air Max Day was mostly about new silhouettes - the Air Max 2090 comes to mind, and, although super comfortable it isn’t exactly a memorable shoe.
I know that had a lot to do with timing - the pandemic had just kicked off and Nike probably thought it best to scale back on big releases. Smart idea. This year was pretty good. Everyone seemed to want a part of the Bacons and it looks like they produced enough pairs to keep resale sorta low-ish. But It had me thinking...what would I like to see MORE of in the coming years? I know what I’m gonna do - #airmaxpax - but what would I like to see Nike do next year?
First thought: more hybrids.
1 uppers on 97 tooling
1 uppers on 90 tooling
BW’s on 97 tooling
1 uppers on 93 tooling
96 uppers on 95 tooling
97 uppers on AM Plus tooling are magnifique
I’d also love to see 98’s and 03’s on AM Plus tooling
Sole swap dudes like @kscustoms and @govrn have set my imagination off to the races over the past few years with all of the wacky hybrid creations they’ve been putting out there...frickin amazing.
I’d love to see Nike come with some *more* AM Hybrids in the coming years. There are SO many dope options I’d love to see them sit down and put out a few more experiments...What would YOU like to see Nike bring out for #airmaxday next year?
