I always had trouble figuring out what to do with shoes that had sentimental value but not much else. So one of my goals when starting a sneaker grading company was to find a better way to *preserve* sentimental sneakers.

At the time, I was looking for a pair of shoes that would be a great candidate for preservation when I came upon this post on Reddit. The idea fascinated me. A pair of shoes from the 50s/60s that had a *real* story behind them.
